Description

La Source Zabeth is located in the commune of Ganthier, twenty km from Port-au-Prince, specifically in the town of Bonnette, second communal section of Ganthier. The picturesqueness of this natural site does not leave the visitor indifferent, until there are beaten earth paths lined with gardens. Dozens of continuous springs supply the 11 meter circumference basins. The hydrographic network ends in an irrigation complex called “General Basin”. From this basin, a multitude of small streams come to grow that meander discreetly between giant trees, mostly sandbox trees (Hura crepitans).

Biodiversity

The fauna and flora around this wonderful place offer a spectacle like no other. The exuberant vegetation presents great charm for visitors. It is rich in biodiversity, with more than 60 species of plants, seven of which are endemic. In addition to its flora, this site also has a unique fauna, including several varieties of fish. As for the habitat, different types of ecosystems correspond to plant formations, epiphytic orchids and multicolored cacti adorn the place in several places.

ECOTOURISM POTENTIAL

This charming place offers many possibilities in terms of sustainable tourism development. Unique in the region, Source Zabeth, it is reputed to be a very attractive paradise due to its vegetation and the existence of hundred-year-old trees on the site. Several hundred visitors from all over the world flock there every week, to the heart of nature, to enjoy and evade themselves.
