A white stripe is visible along the flanks, and the median under-tail coverts are white. The pointed bill is red with a yellow tip and extends onto the forehead as a red frontal shield. The eyes are dark red, and the legs and long toes are greenish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Habitat :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gallinule lives near freshwater or brackish waters in wetlands with abundant emergent vegetation and sheltered shorelines.
